Rogue Open Studios and Exhibition

rogue-open-flyer We’re going to catch up on (some of) the Manchester art scene tomorrow. There’s lots to see of course, we’ll try and take in Cornerhouse, Castlefield Gallery, the Chinese Arts Centre, Urbis and finishing at Rogue Studios who are having an Open studios weekend and a Private View in the evening of an exhibition involving artists from Liverpool’s Royal Standard studios.

Rogue now houses sixty artists over two floors of studios and includes a Project Space, which is used for residency and exchange projects, alongside a programme of temporary exhibitions and events. As one of the largest independent artists’ studio groups operating in the North West, the Open Studios Weekend offers the public direct access to a wide range of art, with the opportunity to talk to artists about their work and to buy original works directly from them at a range of prices. The artists range from recent graduates to established practitioners and work in a wide range of disciplines and media; including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, textile design, installation, video, interactive art and illustration.

Coinciding with the Open Studios, Rogue Project Space will launch an exchange exhibition All Change, in collaboration with The Royal Standard (Liverpool, UK), featuring artists Mike Carney, Jemma Egan, Stephen Forge, Andy Foulds, Laurence Payot, Richard Proffitt, Laura Robertson and Gabriel Stones.
