Ice 07, The Icelandic Art & Culture Festival comes to Liverpool on 29th November, designed specifically to be a gift to the people of Liverpool from the Icelandic People. Liverpool’s Albert Dock is delighted to be the home to two major photographic exhibitions as part of the ICE07 Festival.

Photographic and Sculpture exhibitions of work by Ragnar Axelsson and Hafdis Bennett will be on show at the Albert Dock’s Colonnades throughout the festival.

Ragnar Axelsson is one of Iceland’s most celebrated photographers – capturing the fierce beauty of his homeland in a series of stunning monochrome photographs. He has exhibited across the globe to universal acclaim. This is his first exhibition in the UK in 15 years.

Hafdis Bennett, the mother of legendary fashion designer LK Bennett, is a renowned artist and avid photographer who finds inspiration in the elemental forces which are so evident in the wild landscape of her country. Hafdis’s exhibition at the Albert Dock is produced specially for ICE07.

Joe Edge Director of the Albert Dock Company said:
“The Albert Dock Company is delighted host these two important exhibitions as part of ICE07 at a time when art is at the very heart of the Dock. Tate Liverpool’s Turner Prize and Site Gallery’s Shrinking Cities Exhibition are both internationally recognised exhibitions, so it’s a great time to explore art and culture at the Albert Dock
