On Sunday 18 January Tate Liverpool invites people of all ages to showcase their art in a special ‘BYO (Bring Your Own) Art Day’. Taking place as part of the innovative The Fifth Floor: Ideas Taking Space exhibition, where the ideas and proposals of local people have inspired the art and events which take place during the show, BYO Art Day invites all to display their very own art in the gallery for one day only, alongside the work of international artists such as Pavel Althamer, Rineke Djikstra, Paul Rooney, Peter Liversidge and Dan Perjovschi.

Doodlers, scribblers, art students, collectors, painters and sculptors can submit their favourite work, which will be hung in the International Festival events space in The Fifth Floor between 10.00 and 12.00. This will be followed by the BYO Picnic, a special opening event where visitors can bring their own picnic hampers, lunch boxes and blankets and enjoy lunch in the space from 12.00 – 14.00, whilst enjoying the newly-displayed artworks.

Works will remain in the gallery until 17.00, when they will be collected by their donors. Please note that there can only be one submission per person and works must be collected at the end of the day. We ask that all donors ensure thier work is safe, suitable and appropriate.
Please note that submissions will be accepted on a first come first served basis. For more information please contact Tate Liverpool on 0151 702 7400.
