Fellow Travellers
Curated by James Lawler, and building upon the success of part of the Liverpool Biennial 2004, supported by Homotopia, Fellow Travellers brings together artists who identify themselves as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender and use this as subject matter for their work.
The exhibition will feature new commissions and previously unseen work by artists including pop artist Trademark, Holly Johnson, Asa Johannesson, Laurie Lipton and BP Portrait Award winners Gary Sollars and Sadie Lee.
Fellow Travellers will include work of a variety of media including traditional painting methods, photography, video, sculpture and includes performance work by Michael Carney and Adam Nankervis.
A diverse programme of outreach, talks, performance and education events will compliment the exhibition. For more information please contact 0161 778 0834 (Extract from Salford Museum and Art Gallery).
