Christmas Shopping Evening

Shoppers can relax in the beautiful surroundings of the art gallery and browse through the extensive range of gifts including jewellery, candles and Christmas decorations. There is also a range of seasonal cards and calendars.

Staff are on hand to help you to select the perfect gift, and take the stress out of Christmas shopping.

The choir from Church Drive Primary School add to the festive spirit by singing Christmas carols in the main hall were all shoppers receive free mince pies and mulled wine. The café is open for hot meals.

The exhibition Objects of Desire will also be open on the evening. Visitors can view an ever-changing selection of beautiful objects, which are available to purchase. This wonderful display showcases contemporary crafts by designers who work with ceramics, jewellery, glass, metal and textiles. All the exhibitors are either from or based in the north of England and most currently exhibit and sell at the Bluecoat Display Centre, in addition to many other galleries both nationally and internationally. To complete the evening, there are guided tours of the galleries which display the fabulous art treasure collected by the first Lord Leverhulme.
