COAST brings together twenty artists from twelve countries worldwide for a period of two weeks and forms part of the Triangle Arts Trust global network of workshops that exist in 32 countries. These events are fundamentally different from most international art platforms in the sense that they are artist-led and focus on the development of artists, rather than the presentation of
the product. This difference provides opportunities to take risks with work, explore new approaches and take part in intense discussion and exchange.

COAST takes place from 6th to 19th August and on Saturday 18th August will open its doors and visitors are invited. Work in progress is presented and visitors are encouraged to talk with the artists. The Open Day is the only opportunity to gain an insight into the extraordinary atmosphere created during the two weeks. COAST is delighted to invite you to this occasion.

Following the workshop six of the international artists begin residencies hosted by: Liverpool Hope University, Liverpool Community College, University of Central Lancashire, New Bright Art Gallery and Surestart. If you would like to know more about COAST or the residency programme please email
