Liverpool artwork of the week 2010-12. ‘Collusion’ installation by Rich White and Brychan Tudor at Arena Gallery 12 March – 3 April 2010
My brain hurts from trying to figure out how the artists constructed these strange walls and ceilings, sloping at different angles zig-zagging in and out yet still all meeting up with perfect neat joins.
The Arena gallery is tiny and the artists have responded by making it even smaller then using six projectors aimed at the angular walls showing images of what the space was like before the window was blocked in.
‘Collusion’ Rich White and Brychan Tudor
18 March – 3 April 2010 at Arena Gallery
‘Collusion’ is a collaboration between Rich White and Brychan Tudor. The exhibition features a newly commissioned joint work by White and Tudor that responds directly to the unique architectural features of Arena Gallery and draws on the history of the Elevator Building where Arena is located as a former industrial trade building and now a refurbished multi use facility.
