Part of the ‘Seeing the Landscape’ exhibition of paintings and drawings by artists Stephen Cain and Iain Yell that seeks to depict different aspects of the landscape,with both artists bringing a distinct contrast of styles when approaching the themes and subject matter of their work.
Stephen Cain presents a series of landscape drawings that explore solitude,serenity and themes of vast open spaces that keep themselves company.
Iain Yell’s paintings reference the urban environment using geometric form, colour and a contrast of marks and surfaces found within the landscape in order to construct his work.
