The programme is for anyone who wants to start a business in the design or creative arts industries in the next 12 months – you don’t have to be a design and creative arts graduate – just have a design or creative arts idea e.g. multimedia business, making a product or piece of art like jewellery or textiles. The programme is for both designer makers (freelancers) and those who want to build bigger businesses.

The RSA Programme is free for any graduate of an English university (who has graduated within the last 5 years). Graduates receive mentoring and support for a full year plus will be eligible for a £15000 cash prize to help their business get going.

It will be held at Manchester Metropolitan University from 10-12 July 2006. All food and accommodation are provided free are participants for the three days.

The programme provides the fundamentals of getting a business off the ground, getting a really good mentor and expert network in place; everything you will need to start a creative industries business.
