I hope you’re managing to get to some of the Writing on the Wall Festival 2007 events this week.
One highlight is Pulp Idol which takes place the next few evenings at Hemingways Cafe in Duke Street.
After its success last year, WOW again presents Pulp Idol, where unpublished writers get the chance to present their work to a panel of judges (writers, agents and publishers) to compete for the chance to meet up with a top publisher, and maybe see their work in print. This year our special guest is Dan Franklin, from legendary publishers, Random House.
Prizes on offer include copies of The Writer’s Workbook, and a three-day residential writing course at Ty Nwydd, the National Writers’ Centre for Wales, with writer Jenny Newman.
The heats will take place on Tuesday 15th, Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th May, in Hemingway’s Café, 52 Duke Street, Liverpool, L1 5AA, from 5pm until 7pm.
The final will take place on Friday 18th May, in Hemingway’s Café, 5pm until 7pm.
