Well done West Kirby Grammar School and artist Jennifer Collier.
West Kirby Grammar School picked up a top art award for their commitment to, and excellence in, arts education on Monday.
They received an Artsmark Silver, the second highest accolade presented by Arts Council England, at a ceremony held at Runcorn’s Brindley Arts Centre.
Students at West Kirby Grammar School have been working with local textile artist Jennifer Collier and have contributed to the Liverpool Biennial Exhibition.
Glenice Robinson, head teacher of West Kirby Grammar School collected the award on behalf of the school.
“I’m delighted that the Arts Council has recognised West Kirby’s dynamic arts education programme,” she said. “Our students have really enjoyed working with a professional artist and I’d like to thank all our staff for their hard work in achieving this award.”
