A T-shirt design workshop led by the team from Zap Graffiti. Take inspiration from Fashion V Sport and design your own T-shirt to take away. (over 14’s) (Need extra 14 plus symbol – it can replace the 15 plus symbol on the front cover key)

Sports craze workshop
10.30 – 3pm April 17, May 27
Use a variety of textile/fashion mediums and techniques to decorate a stylish sports bag that you can take away. (over 14’s)
1-4pm May 28, 29
Design a wooden photo-frame inspired by clothes in Fashion V Sport or your favourite Walker characters like Henry VIII. Take your people-shaped frame home and fill it with a photo of your choice! (over 5’s)

Big Art for Little Artists is our dedicated children’s gallery that brings art to life through paintings, sculpture, toys and costumes.

Create your own magnetic bookmark inspired by the objects on display in our Craft and Design gallery. (over 5’s)

Make a mask inspired by our animal paintings such as Molly Longlegs by George Stubbs or some of the other characters featured in Something Wild…at the Walker Art Gallery – our brand new children’s book.

Celebrate the 500th anniversary of Henry VIII accession to the throne at our Tudor themed activity day. Mask making, music performances, drawing activities and much more!

Make your own pop-up puppet with artist Juliet Staines inspired by some of the people and animals in our paintings.
