We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated individual to lead our front-of-house team and deliver a high quality experience for all our visitors. This is an exciting time to join the team at Gallery Oldham as we embark on a major capital development which will result in a new Heritage and Arts Centre for Oldham.
To ensure the efficient running of Gallery Oldham front-of-house, including providing enquiry, advice and information services
To be responsible for leading and motivating the Visitor Experience Team to provide an accessible, welcoming and high quality customer experience.To ensure that Visitor Experience Assistants are fully briefed on exhibition matters (exhibitions & events )and able to support and actively market the work of the gallery.
To monitor and maintain security of buildings and equipment and to liaise with the Corporate Landlord and contractors as necessary with regard to repairs and maintenance issues.
To support Curatorial, Exhibition, Education and Outreach Officers in the development of new audiences for events and programmes of activity.
To succeed in this role you will need as a minimum:
- Experience of working in a Gallery, Heritage, Visitor Attraction or Leisure Environment
- Experience of managing a team providing face to face customer services
- Experience of leading, motivating and developing effective teams
