Artists reap success as US collectors buy up exhibits

TWO Liverpool artists have found success across the Atlantic, with keen US collectors snapping up their work.
Ceramic sculptor Pauline Hughes and metalsmith Rebecca Gouldson have secured represent-ation in prestigious galleries in America, where their work is proving popular.
Pauline says the US now accounts for 50% of her turnover and during her last show she sold seven pieces.
Rebecca made $4,000 from two pieces and secured a space in the pestigious Californian Zimmer Gallery .
Both artists are graduates of UK Trade and Investment’s Passport to Export scheme, a project which aims to help inexperienced exporters.
