18 -25 June 2009 at the University of Chester Kingsway Buildings
A fantastic exhibition of work produced by Fine Art and Photography students at the University of Chester will open at the Kingsway Buildings in June, before going on the road to Liverpool’s Contemporary Urban Centre (CUC) in July.

From painting, sculpture, textiles and print-making to photography, installations and new media, around 70 students have joined forces to put together Raw Potential, an eye-catching, colourful and spectacular showcase of the striking work they have completed during their degrees.  The show, which provides the students with an opportunity to demonstrate their creative energies and efforts to the general public, is guaranteed to be a hit with lovers of every artistic genre.

The students themselves have embarked on a number of fund-raising initiatives to pay for the cost of organising the exhibition, including band nights, fairs, sponsored walks and other activities.  The University’s Fine Art and Photography programmes are renowned for promoting freedom to experiment, be individual, and push boundaries, and this is reflected in the work that will be on display.

The exhibition will then be taken on the road to Novas Contemporary Urban Centre in Liverpool, which has a strong reputation for community support and develops opportunities for individuals and groups.

Opening hours: 9.00 – 18.00 (Weekdays), 10.00 – 18.00 (Saturday 20 June)
Admission is free.
