Elżbieta Jabłońska`s ephemeral action will take place directly on the streets of Garston early in the morning of Saturday 11 July 2009
(around 6 a.m)
It will be noticeable only for viewers with eyes wide open.
Her project is part of a series of interventions and artworks happening in Garston throughout the course of 2009 as part of Under the Bridge, in cooperation with Prezemyslaw Paszek and was curated by Agnieszka Kulazinska (Laznia Center for Contemporary Art in Gdansk, www.laznia.pl) and Rita Slater.
This Project is the 2nd of four interventions by Polish artists in Garston (Dorota Buczkowska, Roman Dziadkiewicz, Elzbieta Jablonska and Lukasz Jastrubczak) May-October 2009 together with a corresponding project involving four UK artists ( Ross Dalziel, Kevin Hunt, Maeve Rendle and Rita Slater) in Gdansk, Poland.
‘Under The Bridge’ was originally developed as part of ‘For The Likes Of Us’ an exchange programme between Liverpool Biennial Big Table partners and corresponding organisations across Europe contributing towards the objectives of ‘The Cities On The Edge’ network. It is part of POLSKA! YEAR in the UK and is supported by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of Republic of Poland.
