From C.U.T.S. Liverpool…
The UnClaimed Photograph exhibition aims to reunite a sack of lost photographs with their owners or relations. The Photographs were rescued from a skip on Wood Street, Liverpool, when the Samson Camera Shop closed down earlier this year , and go as far back as the 1930’s (people getting reprints of family photos) all the way through the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, upto recently.
During the course of the exhibition, visitors will be given cards to write caption on, along with a pen and some blue-tack and asked to respond to the photographs through writing captions to identify people in the pictures, or comment on memories that may be brought up. they will be asked to write their name and contact details on the reverse, so that when the exhibition finishes, those who identify the people in the pictures get to keep them.
The exhibition will take place at The International Gallery, 34 Slater St; Liverpool L1 4BX.
Dates are still to be confirmed.
