A special exhibition to mark the centenary of the First World War, exploring local people’s stories through the objects they left behind. A collection of contemporary artworks and a rare opportunity to see a remarkable collection of 165 First World War propaganda posters.
This commemorative exhibition features items from the museum’s collections and contemporary artworks along with the posters on loan from the St. Helens Local History & Archives Library borough collection.
Another highlight is a timeline of events in the First World War and a film showing how war affected life in St.Helens during both world wars, and if the exhibition sets you thinking, there’s a special commemorative wall where you can leave your own thoughts and memories.
