The Cream Show at Site, Albert Dock August 22 to September 23 2007
The opening of this exhibition on Tuesday night was good, with speeches from the various parties involved, singing from Sense of Sound, dancing from LIPA students and, of course, sounds from the DJ.
The huge print by Sam Skinner of a photograph of the edge of the Creamfields site the day before the preparations for the event started is an interesting one. Would like to see an ‘after’ picture too.
Also photos of Cream by Mark McNulty, these cute knitted creatures by Daniella Orsini all sporting the iconic Cream logo, military characters drawn with tape by Robert May and a tube lighting installation titled ‘Every Man and Woman is a Star’ is clever, it flashes on and off only when a man or woman passes by the sensor.
In the cinema box are videos from the competitions for a Cream video (won by Neil Davies) and reworkings of the Cream logo.
