A photographic exploration into what it means to be a football supporter in Liverpool, following the passionate supporters of Everton and Liverpool Football clubs.
This is a project of the people, for the people. It is a celebration of the strength of belief, loyalty and passion for which the Blue and the Red supporters are renowned for.
The photographs will capture all aspects of the community; the spiritual beliefs, hopes and loyalties of these unique football supporters, highlighting the unmovable support that comes from the 12th men and women of each team.
‘The 12th Man’ aims to acknowledge the unconditional love people have for their team – how it can help bring people together during hard times and great times, how you’ve always got something in common with every person on Merseyside regardless of where your loyalties lie.
‘The 12th Man’ is all encompassing regardless of age, race or gender. The only criteria is that all participants are true football fans who support their team to the end.
