In 2017 Bluecoat will celebrate the 300th anniversary of our magnificent building.
We are looking for a creative and innovative agency to build a new website, and accompanying database and app, which will form a key part of our 2017 celebrations.
To commemorate this special year we are working in partnership with the Blue Coat School (Wavertree) and Liverpool Record Office on a project to digitise, centralise and make accessible a proportion of the archives held by the three organisations. The digital archive will be accessed by a new website entitled My Bluecoat that will link to the websites of all three partner organisations.
We are looking for an agency to develop both a database to house these digital archives, and the My Bluecoat website which will make these archives accessible to the public.
Bluecoat has received a Stage 1 grant from Heritage Lottery Fund to develop My Bluecoat into a detailed project proposal.
The project will take place in two phases, on the basis of the following budget:
Phase 1: Development and testing: Feb – June 2016: £6,000.00 (plus VAT)
Phase 2: building, testing and launching: Dec 2016 – Sept 2017: £15,000.00 (plus VAT)

Applications should not exceed ten pages in length. A shortlist of successful applicants will be invited to an in-depth discussion of their tender, with the aim of appointing an agency by the end of February.
