The School of the Arts wishes to appoint a Technician to support students and staff in using the IT/AV facilities, AutoCAD suite, photographic and projection facilities and the Architecture model making workshop with laser cutters, CNC routers and 3d printers. You will be responsible for assisting with the safe and effective use of the Architecture building.

The role encompasses three separate but overlapping areas of experience and expertise needed for the position: workshop technician with model making skills; digital manufacturing using laser cutters, CNC routers and 3D printers; and IT/Photography skills to support staff and students with AV set-ups, large format printing and scanning. We will consider candidates with expertise in one of these areas and are willing to learn in the others as training can be provided. The role sits within the Technical Team supporting teaching and research in Architecture but is also involved in supporting the wider School of the Arts. You should be educated to BTEC Nathional Level (or equivalent).
