Tate Liverpool Auditorium: Peter Roehr: Film-Montagen – Screening and Discussion

unnamed-610 December 2014

6-7.30pm

£5-3 – booking required

Similarly to Heinecken and Warhol, German artist Peter Roehr (1944–1968) appropriated imagery from adverts and used repetition as an aesthetic strategy.

His untimely death prevented him from realising a fuller body of work or reaching a wider audience. Despite the passage of time, Roehr’s work still has a remarkable currency.

Lorenzo Fusi will introduce his work followed by a screening of seminal videos and discussion.

The event takes place at Tate Liverpool Auditorium, book tickets through Open Eye Gallery.
