For George Exhibition
1 August – 19 September 2009
An unique exhibition of the largest collection of George Harrison’s memorabilia is assembled for public viewing to date in the world to mark the anniversary of George’s trailblazing Concerts for Bangladesh, the first Charity Concert of its kind, fourteen years before Live Aid.
The exhibition attempts to show a few of the facets of George’s Life that are less well known, the past times that brought him pleasure and his other achievements. His Concerts For Bangladesh alone should have earned him a Knighthood and he single handedly saved the British Film Industry with his quirky and totally individual films. His love for India – her music and her philosophies – all these are explored with artefacts, photos and written material.
Entry to this is Free, unlike most things in life.
