Museum of Science and Industry, Manchester
Senior Development Executive (Corporates)
One of the most successful Development teams in the cultural sector is recruiting.
The Museum of Science and Industry is one of the busiest and best loved museums in the North of England, with around 700,000 visitors each year. Located on the site of the world’s first inter-city railway station in Manchester, the world’s first industrial city, the Museum tells the story of where science met industry and the modern world began.
In order to help us realise our vision, we are seeking a highly motivated corporate fundraiser to secure and develop high value, sector-leading partnerships with leading brands. This is an exciting opportunity to build on the fundraising success already created and contribute to a bold, dynamic, Museum with incredible vision. You will lead on corporate fundraising for the Museum and be individually responsible for securing new income and managing a portfolio of corporate sponsorship accounts, working to deliver long term, high-value strategic partnerships. Furthermore, you will play a key part in the Science Museum Group’s national Development team with a strong track record in corporate fundraising.
The Museum is part of the Science Museum Group and has a rapidly growing reputation for its contemporary science programming, producing the annual Manchester Science Festival, staging major exhibitions and running science learning programmes that attract schools from across the North West. Our mission is to insure all our visitors, including future scientists and inventors, with the story of how ideas can change the world, from the industrial revolution to today and beyond.
