From Hilary & Tony Burrage
The next two HOPES Children’s Music Workshops, to be held from 10.30 – 12.15 and 13.00 – 14.45 on Monday 30th and Tuesday 31st July, in Mossley Hill Church Hall, Rose Lane. As before, they will be led by Richard Gordon-Smith and Tony Burrage (who also did the HOTFOOT project as you may already know).
We are delighted to have been given £10,000 funding by Awards for All for the Workshops, which we are now able to announce and which will now become part of a HOPES project. The fee per child per session is therefore just £3 (for registration and light refreshments).
Practical details of the Workshops will be much as before: http://www.hilaryburrage.com/2007/02/childrens_music_workshops_in_l.php
except for the timings; and once again we will be able to care for any children who need to stay over the lunch break. The next workshop places should be booked as soon as possible, preferably please
or if necessary on 0151-281 0010.
These workshops follow the very successful sessions recently conducted in local schools, which culminated in the HOTFOOT 2007 concert at the Phil Hall on Sunday (22 July) as above, at which children presented the music they have devised with Richard and Tony during the past few months (the project was about ‘Liverpool First and Last’).
We are delighted that HOPES is now able to take this work forward in a programme up until Christmas!
