From Saturday 30 November shoppers in Liverpool city centre will be able to visit dot-art’s seasonal Pop Up Art Shop at the Bluecoat to find unique, locally sourced Christmas gifts for all pockets and support the region’s artists at the same time.
Following previous successful Pop Up Art Shops in a variety of locations around the city including the Metquarter, Cavern Walks and Liverpool One, local art organisation dot-art is setting up shop this Christmas in the stunning surroundings of the courtyard at Liverpool’s creative hub, the Bluecoat. dot-art specialises in supporting and promoting locally based visual artists, and the shop will be selling original and limited edition art work by over 40 Merseyside based painters, printmakers and photographers. Prices start at just £20, with most pieces under £100.
Lucy Byrne of dot-art said: “We are absolutely delighted to be opening our Pop Up Art Shop at the Bluecoat, which we feel is a perfect location, both in terms of proximity to the main shopping area and its long standing reputation as one of the city’s key visual arts centres .”
Emma Smith, Acting Head of Creative Enterprise at the Bluecoat added: “After working with dot-art in recent years delivering art classes, we felt hosting their pop up shop was a great next step and excellent fit with our existing independent retail offer. We’re looking forward to welcoming the team to the courtyard and helping visitors line up more of their gifts in the run up to Christmas!”
The dot-art Pop Up Art Shop will be open from Saturday 30 November to Monday 23 December, every day from 11.00 – 18.00.
