PARTIA’s (Promoting Art in Aintree) at Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust new exhibition celebrates East Asian art and culture and includes works from a variety of artists including international artist Xinguang Jia.
Beijing-based artist Xinguang Jia explores his subject-matter predominantly through the application of oils, inks and watercolour. In addition to his artistic practice he is a researcher at the Chinese National Academy of Arts, a member of China Artist Association and a committee board member of the Chinese Arts and Culture Review Committee. Xinguang Jia has won several awards including the Chinese oil painting exhibition award, the third China oil painting exhibition award and CCTV Chinese contemporary oil painting exhibition award. As well as having previously displayed at the National Museum of China (1990, 2000) and the Louvre (2013) during the ‘Chinese Invitational’ exhibition.
To coincide with Zhong Qiu (the Mid-Autumn Festival – also known as Moon Cake Day) the exhibition launch is scheduled between 2 – 5 pm on Monday 8 September opening in the Executives Suite at Aintree Hospital where PARTIA invites you to an afternoon of art, performance and Q&A.
