For an exhibition inspired by famous Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.
at Menier Gallery, 51 Southwark Street, London SE1 1RU
4 – 31 August 2016
Artists are invited to submit works inspired by Frida Kahlo, from paintings, photography, mosaic, mixed media, textile and sculptures.
About the Exhibit:
Works inspired by Mexican painter, Frida Kahlo, who is best known for her self-portraits.
Her rich and varied lust for life provides many artistic seeds for this multi-media show, with explorations of reality, femininity, sexuality, feminism, love, lust, jealousy, fidelity and loneliness: a potent blend of possibilities proving that Kahlo’s early death has done nothing to dim her legacy.
