The Novas Contemporary Urban Centre is a new idea for the 21st Century. An Arts, Cultural and Social enterprise, the Novas Contemporary Urban Centre will reflect the themes of contemporary life in the urban environment, particularly from the point of view of marginalised and excluded communities.
The Novas Contemporary Urban Centre – Liverpool is due to open its doors towards the end of 2007 in preparation for Liverpool being the European Capital of Culture in 2008. The venue has been developed over a period of seven years, in partnership with local community groups and the City. It covers 170,000 sq feet within a Grade II listed converted warehouse in a prominent location close to the city centre, Toxteth and China Town.

Novas Arts aims to bring these themes to a wider audience through an outstanding programme of exhibitions at the CUC Liverpool.
Novas Arts operates an open submissions policy. We welcome submissions from artists who have experienced homelessness or whose work is concerned with social justice or social inclusion. Please contact us by phone, post or email, including examples of your work.
