Up For Crafts is a Heritage Lottery Funded project from Voluntary Arts England and is delivered in partnership with BBC Radio Merseyside. We aim to inspire people to learn more about heritage textile crafts and get involved with their local voluntary craft groups.
2014 marks the centenary of the outbreak of WW1. This project invites local sewing and embroidery enthusiasts from across Merseyside to showcase their skills and contribute to a community memorial exhibition. Using the beautifully embroidered First World War silk postcards as inspiration, we would like to create an exhibition to commemorate the centenary.
The project launches on 28 September at Museum of Liverpool as part of their annual King’s Regiment Family History Day.
You can also find out how your work can be included in an exhibition at Liverpool Central Library in summer 2014.
If you can’t make it, you can still take part in the project by calling the A-Team for an information pack on 0151 794 0984
