Saturday October 1 st

Family Craft Day 10 am – 3 pm

Learn new skills with your children and be creative through drawing, mosaic, collage and glass painting. Price £40 (Parent plus child under 12)

Felt Making 10 am – 3 pm

Beginners guide to felt making techniques. You will learn how to create your own felted piece of jewellery and experiment with Numo felt. Price £35

Card Making 10 am – 3 pm

Make a card using the techniques of card pricking. Use a “peel off” greeting and use a border punch to decorate the insert. Price £35

Wire Bead Jewellery 10 am – 3 pm

Learn how to make beautiful beads from wire and create your own unique jewellery.

Saturday October 8 th

Silk Painting 10 am – 3 pm

 Learners will be introduced to a variety of different creative and imaginative silk painting skills from textured effects to resist methods. Price £35

Mosaic Techniques 10 am – 3 pm

Decorating indoor or garden objects – vases, wall ornaments, mirrors, using crockery, glass, stones. Price £35

Japanese Patchwork 10 am – 3 pm

 Learn about this method of patchwork and produce a small artefact to take home.

Introduction to Batik/ Fabric Painting 10 am – 3 pm

 Learners will explore the art of fabric painting with the emphasis on Batik.

Macramé 10 am – 3 pm

Using knots learners can make a range of accessories or decorative pieces for the home.

Tai Chi 10 am – 3 pm

 A chance to find out a little about this ancient Chinese art and to practice techniques that have helped generations with their health and general well being.

Machine Embroidery for Beginners 10 am – 3 pm

 Using the sewing machine for free style stitching by creating your own set of samples, which can be made into greeting cards. Price £35

Junk Jewellery 10 am – 3 pm

 Create unusual jewellery with everyday objects. Price £35

Gift Boxes & Bags 10 am – 3 pm

 Create and decorate boxes and bags using paper, textiles and other accessories.

Dyeing in an Ice Cream Box 10 am – 3 pm

 After today’s course you will be able to go away and dye your own piece of fabric suitable for patchwork and take home a silk scarf. Price £35

Saturday October 29 th

Bag Making 10 am – 3 pm

Construct a bag from old jeans or pure wool, item felted beforehand by washing machine and decorate with appliqué and stitch. Price £35

Spice and Aromatic Crafts 10 am – 3 pm

 Find inspiration for gifts and displays using spices and aromatic herbs, scented toiletries, cushions, classic pomanders. Price £35

Burning Out .. 10 am – 3 pm

 Burning out fabric to make a bowl in dissolvable fabric. The bowl is completed using stitching with the sewing machine. You can bring your own sewing machine if you wish. Price £35

Swags & Tails 10 am – 3 pm

 Learn to make decorative swags and tails, using patterns and sewing machines.

 Discover how easy it is to create your own unique hand made paper, so useful in working with paper and textiles. Price £35

Patchwork Pots 10 am – 3 pm

 Make a small pentagon shaped container from patchwork pieces to contain pot pourri or sweets for Christmas gifts. Price £35

Crochet for Beginners 10 am – 3 pm

 Crochet is so fashionable now. Learn some basic stitches and you can make a belt, jewellery, shrug. Price £35

Writing for Children 10 am – 3 pm

 We will look at writing stories for children of all ages. Price £35

Machine Embroidery 2 10 am – 3 pm

An introduction to working on water-soluble background material. Make small 3D items for decorating clothing and accessories. Price £35

Tassels and Pom Poms 10 am – 3 pm

Have fun making accessories, which could be added to clothing, and accessories.

 Be inspired. Create unusual and beautiful pieces of jewellery from many different materials.

 Produce a patchwork object based on a Christmas theme using Seminole patchwork.

Saturday November 19 th

Reiki: (Saturday 19 th & 26 th) 10 am – 3 pm Tutor Sasha Spyrou. Price £60

This course is an introduction to a natural healing system. Learners will be attuned to the first degree level by a Reiki master and will be taught a sequence of hand positions for treating themselves and others. (NB) This course will be for 3 hours over two weeks (6hours).

Christmas Textiles: 10 am – 3 pm Tutor Faye Doran. Price £35

Take part in this relaxed workshop and take a chance to make aesthetic decorations and gifts.

Beaded Baubles: 10 am – 3 pm Tutor Hilary Ngashi. Price £35.

Make your own unique baubles – much better than the ones in the shops!

Creative Crochet: Tutor IIdiko Szabo. Price £35.

Make necklaces, bracelets and belts, using a variety of stitches.

Calico Gardens : 10 am – 3 pm Tutor Gina Compton. Price £35.

Create a garden, using modern and traditional methods of embroidery e.g. pulled stitches, stump work, surface embroidery. Create a picture, a bag, a cushion.

Indian Head Massage: 10 am – 3 pm Tutor Jude Peplow. Price £35.

An introduction to techniques for massaging the upper back, neck, shoulders, scalp and face, for use on family and friends.

Saturday November 26 th

Candle Making : 10 am – 3 pm Tutor Nicole Bartos. Price £35.

This course is intended for the beginner candle maker and will provide you with techniques of candle making, using paraffin wax.

Fabric Manipulation : 10 am – 3 pm Tutor Kirstine Higgins. Price £35

Create a textured embroidery using a variety of manipulated fabrics decorated with hand embroidery and a little imagination.

Making Accessories : 10 am – 3 pm Tutor IIdiko Szabo. Price £35.

Using sewing Techniques, crochet, ribbon weaving, learn to make belts and other accessories.

Christmas Stitchery : 10 am – 3 pm Tutor Marge Halliwell. Price £35.

Produce a simple decoration using counted thread work.
