Announcing …
The 2006 Summer Schools
In 2006 we will be holding two Summer Schools:

  • Friday 9th – Friday 16th June
  • Friday 7th – Friday 14th July

The Forkbeard Fantasy Summer Schools, held at Forkbeard’s Waterslade Studios in rural Devon, give you the chance to discover new ways of working in our stimulating creative environment. The week-long courses (all accommodation and food included in the £600 fee) give you a hands-on introduction to the diversity of practice (prop & model-making, set design, animation, film-making & interaction, introductions to Final Cut Pro, sound design and other media and technology) which exists within Forkbeard’s work. The Summer Schools are supported by The Esmée Fairbairn Foundation and Arts Council England, South West. Demand is high, so apply asap.

Further information and application details for both of the residential schools can be obtained:

Other courses:

We will be running shorter (one and two day) multi-media courses specifically for teachers and arts educators in 2006/7. The courses are supported by The Paul Hamlyn Foundation and Mid Devon District Council.

Digital Editing using Final Cut Pro 4:
This is a three-day programme run by Robin Thorburn, with three courses so far scheduled in January 2006 and more to come as demand is high. Maximum of 4 participants for each course.

Further information on dates, costs and the content of Forkbeard Fantasy’s short courses can be obtained by emailing ff@fokbeardfantasy.co.uk.
