Greetings from Stavanger, Ingrid Solesvik and Vigdis Elizabeth Feldt
Continues to Friday 28th November 2008.
I have enjoyed painting both non-figurative and figuratively in oils and acrylics until 2002. The shift to watercolour came after attending a watercolour workshop with Rose Edin. Her way of teaching was so easy to follow and she opened the doors into some of the secrets of watercolours. To improve my skills in watercolour I have been attending workshops continuously with some of the most excellent artists: Charles Reid, Linda Kemp, Pat Dews and Anders Wallin, just to mention some of them.
Vigdis Elizabeth Feldt
My style is expressionistic, naturalistic and naivistic. This exhibition shows the naivistic and absurd side of my production. The pictures shown, deal with dreams and communication. My pictures indicate that the soul is a lonely hunter, seeking meaning by sharing and communicating. I also try to show individual solitude and the longing for a possible soul-mate.
