If you are interested in learning new skills and hearing from interesting speakers all in one evening, come along to Metal for the next instalment of the quarterly Future Station meetings for 2014.

If you are an artist or work in an organisation involved in arts related activity or you are generally interested in the arts, Metal’s Future Station meeting is a great opportunity not only to meet other artists and like-minded people but also to learn new skills.

From 19.00, David will present his own work during 3 minute wonders and then he will talk about his current venture PAPER gallery. PAPER aims to uniquely focus on showing the very best, affordable ‘works on paper’ to the art buying public, online and with a micro gallery in Manchester. They exhibit works at various art fairs and represent 28 artists including Richard Meaghan who currently has a studio space at Edge Hill Station.

The session on how to raise your profile is facilitated by Adeyinka Olushonde. Adeyinka has nearly 20 years experience working in the Northwest. After training for 3 years as a community artist at LIPA, he developed a passion for social regeneration and capacity-building in community groups. Adeyinka regularly provides advice and support for groups to develop or deliver programmes. Most recently Adeyinka was the Partnerships & Development Coordinator for LARC responsible for the coordination and delivery of a programme that engaged in organisational development, strategic partnership building and arts-led regeneration initiatives within communities.

The Future Station meeting will end as usual with an opportunity to network, meet some lovely people and to share some delicious food.

This project is kindly supported by Arts Council England and Liverpool City Council
