Faces of Merseyside Fire Fighters.

Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service take part in Face of the City by exhibiting photographs and poems at Liverpool Echo Arena during the World Fire Fighters Games.
MSFR are displaying 35 photographic & poetry artworks at Liverpool Echo Arena, Kings Dock, from Bank Holiday Monday 25th August until Tuesday 2nd September 2008.
MSFR Photographer – Chris Phillips & Poet – Syd Websters artwork will be viewed by Firefighters and spectators from across the globe, as they enter the Echo Arena to participate and witness the spectacle of the 2008 World Fire Fighters Games.

What is Face of the City?
Face of the City arts project, is encouraging Liverpool City Regions Working Community to create their own artwork and exhibitions, and display them at their own workplaces throughout the city as part of the cities European Capital of Culture celebrations in 2008.
Liverpool is a hive of creative people walk into any shop, office, bar or any other workplace in the city and you will find sculptors, painters, thespians, writers, and comedians all waiting for the chance to show off their creative talents.
Face of the City offers people the opportunity to exhibit their creative work, whilst also acting as a catalyst for individuals, groups, business’s and organisations to play an active roll in the success of the cities 2008 Cultural Celebrations.
