Expressions of The Sea
26 November 2010 – 25 February 2011
Dot-art presents “Expressions of the Sea” brings a slightly calmer and thoughtful exhibition to the Mere Grange Gallery. Living in Merseyside we are surrounded by miles of beautiful coastline and yet it is something then if often overlooked in the region. One does not have to go far here to find secluded beaches perfect for walking, picnicking, or indeed painting/sculpting/photographing in the Merseyside area and beyond and many of the artists at dot-art have drawn their inspiration from the sea.
This exhibition is aiming to show different ways that artists have used this as their inspiration, not just the seas close to us but also around the world.
The participating artists are:
Daniel John, Aphrodite Art, John Sutherst, Grahame Ashcroft, Susan Lee Brown, Simon Parker, Susan Finch, Gail Picket, Colin Ross Jack, Joe Thompson and Dom Wilson.
Opening Times: by appointment only.
Please call 0845 017 6660 for further information or to make an appointment.
The 2000 sq ft Mere Grange Gallery is situated at the Mere Grange Business Park (www.meregrange.co.uk), which is located in a prime position off the A570 St Helens Linkway, a prominent main road linking to Junction 7 of the M62 motorway. There is ample free parking.
