Making Stuff at the Kitchen Gallery

Last two weeks of the Kitchen Gallery’s contemporary craft show. Exhibition continues to 30th September.

Introducing an inspired blend of contemporary and conceptual crafts focusing on ceramics, with textiles, jewellery, accessories and objects by established and emerging artists selected for quality and originality.

Making Stuff is such an exciting exhibition, because, not only does it represent a diverse a range of contemporary craft practices but it presents artists who are using their craft to be both technically and conceptually innovative. All ten artists have an exploratory approach to their practice seeking to push the boundaries of their craft to produce decorative and functional art objects and I believe that the work on show reveals the exciting interface between craft and design.

We hope that you have been inspired by the diversity of contemporary ceramics, textiles and jewellery making represented in Making Stuff and that you will continue to draw enjoyment and inspiration from the work on show for the final two weeks of the show.

This is the last exhibition of the 2007 season at the Kitchen Gallery, we look forward to welcoming you back in 2008.

Opening times Fri-Sun 1.30-4.30 and by appointment.
