Liverpool Mental Health Consortium to bring ‘Headspace Hangar’ to Africa Oyé

Liverpool Mental Health Consortium (LMHC), the organisers of Mad Pride and Liverpool Mental Health Festival, will bring their ‘Headspace Hangar’ to Africa Oyé: a quiet space for festival-goers to relax, read or participate in the free activities laid on for all ages.

On both 16th & 17th June as part of the Oyé Village in Sefton Park, the Hangar will offer Reiki/Massage from 1.00 – 3.00pm, Arts & Crafts from 3.00 – 5.00pm, and Henna art from 5.00 – 7.00pm. And for those who just want to chill, they can hang out on the Headspace Hangar patio deckchairs – in the sunshine, hopefully!

Claire Stevens, Development & Opportunities Lead at Liverpool Mental Health Consortium, said: “It’s great to once again be part of Africa Oyé. As we share many of the same values, our partnership with the festival is going from strength to strength. We’re really looking forward to being involved in the biggest and best celebration of African music and culture.’’

The 2018 Africa Oyé festival will take place on 16th and 17th June, 2018 in Liverpool’s Sefton Park from 12:30pm til 9:30pm both days and entrance is FREE. For more information on the festival and other events held across the country by Africa Oyé please visit africaoye.com.

PLUS: Don’t miss the brilliant Kasai Masai, performing at Oye on the festival Saturday! As part of their partnership with Africa Oyé, Liverpool Mental Health Consortium are excited to also be hosting the group from DR Congo at their own Liverpool Mental Health Festival Opening Night on October 10th at the Philharmonic’s Music Room. It’s a free event, but places will be limited, so make sure you check for updates, further information and the full Liverpool Mental Health Festival 2018 programme here: http://www.liverpoolmentalhealth.org/liverpool-mental-health-festival/
