Community, Faith and Fair Trade in Liverpool
Is a project about Liverpool’s Fair Trade status.
It is working with faith groups from across the city;
Catholic, Jewish, Somali, Ghanaian, Islamic and Afro Caribbean.
Is a Liverpool Culture Company and Liverpool World Centre sponsored project.
The first session was held at Eat, Greet & Play, a community in-reach project at St. Austin’s Roman Catholic Church Grassendale and two further sessions took place at the Al-Ghazali Centre, Liverpool and Wirral Multicultural Centre, Birkenhead.
Three more sessions are scheduled at Harold House, the Somali Women’s Centre and with the Liverpool Arabic Centre.
Painted Fair Trade statement flags are being created for display at the World Museum Liverpool during Fair Trade fortnight, Monday 26 February – Sunday 11 March.
A Family Workshop will be held on Saturday 3 March, 12-16.00 in the Weston Discovery Centre in the World Museum, Liverpool.
