An evening of celebration, bundles of creativity and brilliant readings to help break the stigma surrounding mental health on World Mental Health Day, in the Discovery Room at Liverpool Central Library.

Comedian, TV personality and poster-girl for Mental Health Ruby Wax will be announcing on film the overall winner of all six categories of Mental Health and Me, a writing competition presented by Liverpool’s Mental Health Consortium in partnership with Writing on the Wall. The winners were decided by a panel of professional writers, social media experts, book sellers, poets, teachers and journalists including Catherine Jones; Arts Editor of Liverpool Echo, Brian Reade; Columnist of The Mirror and Award-Winning author; Helen Walsh. The categories in which all entries were judged on were, Journalism, Letters, Blog/Diary posts, Tweets, Poetry and Short Stories. All shortlisted entries are being published in an anthology which will be available to buy on the day. The lucky overall winner will receive a special trophy and a £100 book token from News from Nowhere.
