Liverpool’s International Slavery Museum given go-ahead for £6m expansion

Liverpool Daily Post.co.uk – News – Liverpool News – Liverpool’s International Slavery Museum given go-ahead for £6m expansion.

Good.

LIVERPOOL’S International Slavery Museum has been given the green light to proceed with its £6m expansion.

The planning approval will allow the Albert Dock attraction to construct a striking glass walkway to link the current site with the new entrance in the former Dock Traffic Office (DTO) – which once housed Granada TV studios – next door.

The museum, which welcomed its millionth visitor in March, is currently situated on the third floor of the Maritime Museum.

The expansion plan will allow it to create facilities for family history, performances and its education and community programmes.
