Livefest Venue Change
After much deliberation and discussion, the decision has been taken to move Livefest to Mountford Hall for the Saturday August 11th date in Liverpool.
The move has been made to take account of the great British weather – which has been raining pretty much everyday for two months – and the effect this has had on the Aigburth cricket ground. With more rain forecast in the coming weeks, safety concerns have led the Livefest team to conclude that in the circumstances the best viable alternative is for the festival to take place indoors at Mountford Hall.
Tony Rothwell, the festival director said “Obviously it’s not an easy decision to make but we feel there is little choice. I have been studying the weather forecasts avidly and the outlook is not great. The chief concern is that the cricket ground is already saturated and with more rain likely there are safety issues regarding the ground underfoot and also the difficulties of erecting a stage on soft ground.
