Letters
Student artwork curated by Craig Atkinson

Letters is an exhibition that runs alongside the Sefton Festival of Writing 2007, curated by Craig Atkinson. Letters part one took place earlier this year at the Atkinson Gallery in Southport. Artists from all over the world took part in what was a hugely successful and diverse exhibition. Part two will run from November to January 2007-2008.

The theme of Letters is exactly that. Text; Communication; Language; Signs; Symbols; Instructions, and adverts are all a part of our daily life. Letters part two was open to any student across Sefton, Merseyside or Lancashire, of any age or ability, studying and Art or Design related subject. The theme is very broad, almost all things relate to communication in some way. The work in the exhibition will is A5.

This season’s Citadel fine art exhibition showcases the work of St Helens’ very own Millennium Art Group.

This dedicated group was formed in 2004 by a number of local people who wanted to paint together and share their interests in art and pass their skills and ideas on to others.

The group meets every Tuesday evening at the Millennium Centre at St Ann’s Community Centre, Rainhill. Producing work in various mediums; oils, watercolour, pastel and acrylics as well as basic drawing materials.
