Letters is an exhibition that runs alongside the Sefton Festival of Writing 2007, curated by Craig Atkinson. Letters part one took place earlier this year at the Atkinson Gallery in Southport. Artists from all over the world took part in what was a hugely successful and diverse exhibition. Part two will run from November to January 2007-2008.

The theme of Letters is exactly that. Text; Communication; Language; Signs; Symbols; Instructions, and adverts are all a part of our daily life. Letters part two was open to any student across Sefton, Merseyside or Lancashire, of any age or ability, studying and Art or Design related subject. The theme is very broad, almost all things relate to communication in some way. The work in the exhibition will is A5.

There will hopefully be a printed catalogue published in 2008.

Please direct all questions and press enquiries in the first instance to craig@craigatkinson.co.uk

The exhibition will be held across two venues, one in Bootle and another in Southport. Of course you are all more than welcome to attend.

There is an online gallery at Flickr. This represents one or more piece of work by each student that submitted work. The exhibitions will display every piece of work submitted. There may be a book published in 2008 that documents the exhibition. Each artist will have at least one piece of their work shown in the book.
