Artist Talk: Leroy Cooper in Conversation with Bryan Biggs

Leroy Cooper is a photographer who has focused on the multi-cultural community of Toxteth since 1984.The work represents Cooper’s unique relationship with his immediate community which, he believes, has been marginalised and excluded from the mainstream of Liverpool life.

On the occasion of Centre of the Creative Universe: Liverpool and the Avant-Garde at Tate Liverpool, Cooper converses with Bryan Biggs, Artistic Director of the Bluecoat Arts Centre. Cooper will give an illustrated account of his own work and respond to the exhibition as a whole.
