Learning Operations Manager
Salary: £27,000 per annum
Full Time, Fixed Term until end September 2017
Are you passionate about delivering life-enhancing learning experiences and inspiring people’s futures? This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in our Learning and Public Programme team – managing a group of explainers and team leads to ignite curiosity in audiences for a range of interactive exhibitions in our museum.
Our learning team is unique and diverse; from our historic working machinery to developing an innovative and creative programme, we deliver high-quality learning experiences to schools, families and adults – truly open to all.
We’re looking for an experienced and confident learning manager to work for us on a fixed term contract until September 2017. You will be able to hit the ground running and thrive in this diverse and unique environment. You’ll need to be a strong operational manager, confident decision maker and highly organised to ensure the team are continuously enhancing learning experiences.
You will have the opportunity to manage the team to deliver programming for upcoming holidays, programmes and events. You will also ensure that findings of recent audience research about our family audience are embedded into our work, whilst managing the team to deliver excellence in bringing to life our historic working machinery experiences and embed the new key stage 3 offer in our operations.
As part of the Science Museum Group you’ll have the requirement to travel to our other sites with potential for future opportunities within the group.
