Deadline: Friday 16 September 2016.
Spaces is a Wellbeing Photography Competition, that invites you to showcase your creative talent and contribute to a new photographic body of work. It is open to people of all ages and ability who live, work, volunteer or study in the borough of Knowsley, to photograph and submit your interpretation of the theme of People and Places.
We would like you to capture through photography, people and places from across Knowsley so as to celebrate health and wellbeing across the borough. By that we mean anything from photographs of places you go to relax, have fun in or that are important to you. Similarly, photographing a local person or hero to you or even a ‘selfie’, is welcome too.
Through taking part, we hope this will support you to achieve a happier, healthier way of life.
Spaces aims to create a collaborative, Knowsley wide response, forming a wonderful and inspirational photographic archive, which can be seen on the Galleries facebook page: www.facebook.com/knowsleygalleriesandmuseum/ and in person at the Panorama exhibition which will open in Kirkby Gallery on Monday 7 November.
We have Spaces and places in our lives that make us feel better, be it a wide open space or at home with your family. We’d love to see your images that capture this and be in with a chance of winning a prize. The theme for this year is People and Places, so we would like you to send us your photos responding to either theme. For the People theme, your photos should be of a person important to you or someone you see as a local inspiration – Places could be anything from somewhere you like to go to relax, your favourite bike route or a place you like to visit. We are looking for images which celebrate you and your active lives but must be of a place in Knowsley.
