Deadline: Friday 18 September 2015
Threshold at Liverpool World Mental Health Day 2015 – 10 October.
Threshold takes over the Williamson Square ‘World Mental Health Day’ stage for the 3rd year running at what is arguably the best October 10th celebration in the country. With rising stars, community gems and comedy gold, the Williamson Square stage always promises something for everyone on this special day.
Topping the bill will be The BIG Choir Off! A performance by as many choirs as we can possibly get to perform inside Williamson Square. Led by MD and local name Kaya of Balance Vocal Studio, a performance of 2 classic uplifting songs will show the world just how much love Liverpool has for World Mental Health Day.
Are You In A Choir?
Take Part in The Big Choir Off!
We’re inviting the choirs of Liverpool to join together for a great BIG Choir Off! to celebrate World Mental Health Day. By coming on board with us, your choir will get a visit from one of the practitioners from Balance Vocal Studio, run by local singer songwriter and choir MD Kaya.
We’ll teach you and your choir the basic arrangement for 2 songs, a feel good classic ‘Your Love, Keeps Lifting Me Higher’ by Jackie Wilson and a modern uplifting track ‘Happy’ by Pharrell Williams. We’ll challenge you to learn them and get ready to be a part of our Big Choir Off!
Performing choirs will need to be available between the hours of 3pm and 5pm on Saturday 10th October to perform.
