Ever wanted to be a DJ? Now’s your chance…
Sunday 11 October 2009 marks the 5th anniversary of John Peel’s last live broadcast for BBC Radio. To celebrate the legacy of one of Merseyside’s favourite sons the Bluecoat invites you to come and be the DJ for the day!
Participants can bring along, introduce and play one record of their choice in return for a minimum £1 donation to Shelter, the housing and homelessness charity of which John was a strong supporter during his lifetime.
The event is free to members of the audience however if you are interested in playing a record on the day then book now to avoid disappointment, as there are only limited spaces available.
BBC Radio Merseyside’s Dave Monks, presenter of ‘The Pool’ every Sunday evening from 8-10pm, will be introducing the event and playing the first record of the day. He will be joined by Amsterdam lead singer Ian Prowse who will be doing a special live acoustic performance just after 12.00 noon.
So make sure you get here early, this event is not to be missed!
